The Trust needs help from work parties to help maintain the canal in Selly Oak and to generally keep it tidy. Last Autumn we had a daffodil bulb planting party with excellent results to be seen in the Spring. The Lapal restoration project is on the number 11 bus route, easily accessible from Harborne, and has parking next door.

55 walkit.comJourney Planner 0/Digital Hub/Icons/Stars_0.png00 stars from 0 people
0 people
With walkit.com you can plan walking journeys from A to B or, if you are more interested in walking for leisure or wellbeing, you can plan Circular routes from any postcode. For each route we will provide a map and written directions, and also guidance on: * how long the journey will take, * how many steps you can expect to take (great if you are planning a walk to reach your 10,000 steps a day goal), * how many Calories you might burn on the walk, and * even how much carbon dioxide you could be saving by walking rather than driving, or hopping on a bus. We'll even advise you if a walking route involves steps or stairs, and if so we'll try and provide an alternative for you. With our A-B routes you can even search for a 'less-busy' route, where we try and find routes for you that avoid busy roads, and where possible take you through parks (or along the Harborne Walkway!), and along rivers and canals where possible.
